Sri Lankan Garnets (1.85ct each)

“Given up from the gravel beds of Sri Lanka”

Since time immemorial, Garnets have held a special place in the hearts of people the world over. Even in Anglo Saxon times there was a well-trodden trade route with  Southern India and Tamraparni (ancient Sri Lanka), known from antiquity for its production of gemstones. Today these garnets have travelled this same route, albeit by air!

Garnets were found in famous excavations such as The Staffordshire Hoard and some fine examples discovered in the pendant of the Winfarthing Woman.
