Silver Dial Thin & Unusual Pocket Watch c.1880

Key wound and available as a pendant!

“Thin watches have always been fashionable”

This size of watch would have been worn by fashionable women and effete men on a waistcoat chain, pendant or chatelaine back in the late 1800s and we recommend that course of action today! Plenty of our customers have done so in the past and we’re more than happy to provide and set up a suitable chain upon request.

Sapphire-blued hands which attractively catch the light and beautifully set off its solid silver dial. Engraved and adorned with gilt Roman numerals to the chapter ring, we’ve slowed for some light patina so that the desirable ‘oil-on-water’ effect is preserved.

Key wound, cylinder movement encased in continental silver (935), 38mm in diameter.

The watch has been thoroughly service, comprehensively oiled and time kept for a fortnight in our workshop.

It is a key-wind, key-set watch and one will be provided.

All timepieces come with a 5-Year Warrantee.

Please call to view this watch in person – you won’t be disappointed!
