ZENITH ‘DEFY EL PRIMERO’ chronograph.
Within a stainless steel case of 38mm diameter, ticks an automatic CAL : 400.
This watch has a wonderfully warm two-tone dial, a champage background with sunny sub dials, Roman numerals and gilded hands.
A date window at 4.30.
The bezel clicks to adjust and the screw-down, pull-push crown functions smoothly and with ease.

Founded in 1865 in Le Locle by Georges Favre-Jacot, Zenith quickly earned a reputation as the manufacturer of some of the most precise timepieces of those years achieving the first prize in the chronometry competition of the observatory of Neuchâtel in 1903.
In 1969, at a press conference held on January the 10th, Zenith announced the imminent launch of the first fully integrated, high-frequency, automatic chronograph movement. Codenamed 3019 PHC, this movement was renamed “El Primero”, which means “the first” in Spanish.
